Accounting
We have over 30 positions that require your accounting experience and qualifications for statutory reporting, taxation, financial systems, and auditing. Forensic Accountants also assist police investigations, offering a specialist investigative and analytical accounting service and providing independent expert evidence in criminal and civil proceedings.
Information Technology
If you're an Analyst Programmer, Help Desk Consultant, Database Administrator or in Network Support, you can be part of the team that supports our IT and communications services.
General Administration
Administrative and clerical positions are critical to our operational requirements. If you have the skills and experience, you can join us at one of the metropolitan or regional locations.
Procurement and Contract Management
Assisting with customer-focused procurement and contract management services, opportunities include Contract Advisor and Purchasing Officer.
Other specialist roles
There are plenty of challenges available for specialists in fingerprint investigation, intelligence analysis, legal, welfare, psychology, medical, records management, call centre operations and occupational health and safety.
Graduate Program
If you're a recent graduate or about to complete your studies, SAPOL can offer you a career where you'll get to put all your skills and qualifications into action.
Depending on the discipline, you can be employed in a variety of locations for up to for 12 months and your Program will focus on ethics, legislation, team work, communication, health & safety, diversity, working effectively and government protocol.

If you're an accounting graduate, the Graduate Program is run through the Department of Treasury and Finance, who have more information at www.treasury.sa.gov.au/graduate
We also support the CPA program by reimbursing 100% of fees on successful completion of each topic, providing up to 5 hours per week study leave, plus examination leave and a mentoring program.
As we take part in the Government Youth Traineeship Program, we can offer young South Australians the opportunities to undertake a traineeship.
If you're:- aged between 17 and 24 (up to 28 years if you are an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, a person with a disability or long-term unemployed)
- live in South Australia
- have completed year 11/SACE Stage 1 or have graduated from or are undertaking vocational training with a registered training provider (eg. TAFE)
you can join us for up to 12 months to work in a variety of roles across the agency. If you successfully complete the program you'll receive a nationally recognised qualification.

Vacancies
If you'd like to search and apply for a role with us, you can find all our current opportunities on the South Australia Government Notice of Vacancies.
All you need to do is visit the site and choose 'Police' in the 'All Departments / Agencies' box on the lower right of the home page. Searching on 'All Occupation Codes' and 'All Locations' will give you a list of our vacancies.
