As Protective Security Officers within South Australia Police (SAPOL) we provide a broad range of policing and community services to ensure the safety and security of the 1,500,000 strong population of South Australia.
Right now SAPOL is investing for a better and more sustainable future, which means attracting, engaging and recruiting new Protective Security Officers to the modern, restructured Police Security Services Branch (PSSB).
Protective Security Officers provides a range of security services to protect vital government infrastructure and assets. These include security advice and consultancy, securing government buildings, patrolling and monitoring of electronic security systems.
Within the PSSB, Protective Security Officers perform the primary function of maintaining the security of Government facilities and public officials. Working with police and emergency services to maintain and restore security and keep the community safe.
